363 days ago, I went to sign up for an 8k race, in Buenos Aires, and met a guy at registration. The race, San Silvestre, Buenos Aires, 8K is on the 31st and I always found it fitting to close the year with a race! A few months later, the same guy was all up and moved to NYC and we got married a couple of months later, probably a wedding PR! (Single ladies, this means: enjoy your time alone TODAY because you never know what(/who!) is around the corner!!)
This 31st, I am not going to Argentina as I always do, so we are running the NYRR Midnight Run Presented by Emerald Nuts 4M. I think it can be some kind of tradition that we do a race on the 31st. I would really like it.
Hope you have a wonderful start to 2014 and an amazing year! And make sure you create at least one little tiny tradition today or tomorrow of doing something you like!
And, no. Before you even ask. I would never ever ever even consider go watch that ball drop in Times Square. Hell No.
And they lived happily ever after…Happy 2014 to you two!
