this was a last minute decision I assumed I was going to regret guys…

This morning, I went early to Orange Theory in Chelsea, the newest treadmill studio in town. I hadn’t been there before though I had tried Mile High (review here) and The Run. Treadmills scare me, or, they bore me to death but classes on treadmills (which I do about once a year) are not bad at all. Mostly when it’s 20 degrees out with a feels like of 10, like today!! I though I’d regret it, just because I did intervals yesterday morning and was already tired when I woke up today. Whatever. We get it done anyway right?

Anyway, Powerbar was sponsoring the event to show us their new products, which look amazing, low sugar (like 2 grams!) and finally a DRINK from Powerbar, high in protein and NOT CHALKY, and it’s actually quite light, not even as dense as milk, more like water. It was great.

Andy telling us how to win a triathlon. Hilarious.

We then went to the class, you basically do intervals in the rowing machine (MY POOR ARMS), then on the floor (burpees, jumping squats, bosu jumps, deadlifts, etc), and then speed on the treadmill.

So, Andy, Eric and I rowed. Funny thing, my nutritionist I told you about yesterday, was in the class. In the row machine, I was already thinking I’d eat 55 powerbars after the workout (IT WAS EXHAUSTING) but he was there… πŸ˜‰

So we rowed for a bit, hard, and it was intense. Plus, Β I am sure I wasn’t doing it right (I got corrected later).Β Andy beat everyone of course. They give you a bracelet/heart monitor that shows how hard you’re working. ON A HUGE SCREEN. Embarrassing, guys.

I was happier in the treadmill, obviously. Not so happy that I was going all out at 10.5 and that was his freaking base pace but whatever. Everything counts, right? Plus, I am a girl and I am older and I did intervals yesterday and… I am not a world class triathlete!!!!!

So this shows how much time you spent on your different heart rate zones. For what I remember, you want about between 20 and 30 in the green and the orange (which I did fine, phew!!!). Red, you don’t want to do too much of. PS: I burned over 450 calories in an hour!!! WHAT? (I have no idea what that means).

That’s so awesome! Very curious about low sugar products from PowerBar! I LOVE their fruit blends, which I call “baby food” that I take once during every Oly Tri!
