Biomechanics 1×1 Sessions

How it works
I will first ask you a little bit about your running history, challenges, and goals. We will then go through the biomechanics of running; all of this will take about 10 minutes.
Then the personal video analysis begins!! I will video your running form and make a personalized plan to improve your technique. We will then practice what your form would look like, so you should know what to work on, based on the three fundamental skills of running: Posture, Rhythm, Relaxation.
Then I will take another video of your new running form so you can see the difference.
One-on-One Running Biomechanics Coaching Sessions include a composite of your ‘before’ and ‘after’ videos and drills /cues for you to work. Sessions take about 45 minutes. Payment is due at the time of the session.

Location
We will meet at Engineer’s Gate, 90th Street and 5th Avenue, in the Upper East Side. You will see me waiting right under the golden monument of John Purroy Mitchel (see picture below). You can take the 4/5/6 train to 86th St and walk north/west. You can also get there with the M86 crosstown bus, or any uptown bus. If you want to meet somewhere else, just let me know where and I will add travel time and cost to the session fee.

Logistics
Wear anything you feel comfortable running in. You can bring a bag or anything else and we will keep an eye on it, but don’t need to bring anything special for the session, just the shoes you usually run in. If you need to change, you can go to NYRR, on 89th and 5th and you can even leave your stuff there if you want (they have small lockers, so bring a lock). There is a water fountain close-by if you need to refill your bottle.

Types of Sessions
– 1×1 Session: an hour of form evaluation + drills coaching + tips/homework to do post-session.
– 1×1 PLUS Session: an hour of form evaluation + drills coaching + tips/homework to do post-session PLUS processed videos of your form from the session, comparison of before and after videos, and post-session analysis writeup, and a list of the tips to work on.

Referrers get $25 (yes, cash!), and if you refer three runners, you get a free session, so feel free to spread the word. Do let me know (email below) before their session -or have them let me know before their session.
