what am I missing?
DAY BEFORE
- One or two electrolyte drinks
- Go to sleep early, you need to be rested
- Try to wake up/go as early as possible
BEFORE the RUN
- Drink water/electrolytes or sodium pills
- Wear SPF
- Wear anti-chafing
- Wear hair mask/thermal protection for hair/scalp
- Wear light colored clothes that hopefully won’t chafe
PREP/Bring
- water/drink if needed
- Refillable bottle
- Gel if needed
- Fast chews or salt pills
- Hat (with a wet sponge under it) or visor
- Sunglasses
- Biofreeze for cooling sensation
- Headband for face sweat
DURING
- Keep your clothes wet if possible
- Keep your head sponge wet, dripping even
- Look for breeze and shade
- Adjust your effort level, slow down as needed
